What name should I enter in my account?

You should enter your name exactly as it appears on the government-issued identification that you present when traveling.

Why do you ask for my phone number when I'm enrolling?

Tropic may use your telephone number to contact you in the event that the email address in your profile is inaccurate.

Can I change my email address?
Yes, please send an email to miles@tropicair.com and we will be happy to do that for you. Please incudie your TropicMiles account number and Name to do so.
Where can I locate mileage information?
Your most recent mileage accumulation is listed at the top of the MY ACCOUNT page.
Can I receive credit for trips taken before I had a TropicMiles account?
No, you may only receive credit for trips taken after enrollment.

When are miles credited to my account?
Please allow up to 10 business days for miles to be credited to your account.
How can I file a claim for missing miles?
Please send an email to miles@tropicair.com with your confirmation number, name, and date of travel.
How can I keep my miles from expiring?

Just fly with Tropic at least once every 12 months. We’ll automatically extend your mileage expiration date 12 months from the date of your most recent activity.

How far in advance should I book my reward ticket?

You can book awards up to one year in advance and up to 24 hours before departure, but it's best to make your award reservation as soon as possible to ensure the seat when you want it.

What should I do if I’m unable to use my reward ticket?
When you cancel your reservation, you can reinstate the miles to your account (a reinstatement fee may apply). Or you can have the ticket changed for travel on a different date and eligible flight as long as the ticket is still valid (a change fee may apply).
How do I get mileage credit?
Include your TropicMiles number when you book. It’s also helpful to keep your receipts or tickets until you see the credit on your account.
Can I earn mileage credit for some else’s activity?
No. Only the person who flies earns the miles. So, if you paid for someone’s ticket, the traveler would earn the miles.
Can I buy a ticket for someone else using my miles?
Yes, you can.
How do I a claim a mileage ticket.
Simply “buy” the tickets using your miles via our website or over the counter at any of our stations. Taxes and/or rider fees may apply.
If I don’t have sufficient miles can I just pay for the difference?
No, you may only claim free flights if you have accumulated the necessary miles (miles vary based on destination).
