What name should I enter in my account?

You should enter your name exactly as it appears on the government-issued identification that you present when traveling.

Why do you ask for my phone number when I'm enrolling?

Tropic may use your telephone number to contact you in the event that the email address in your profile is inaccurate.

Can I change my email address?
Yes, please send an email to miles@tropicair.com and we will be happy to do that for you. Please incudie your TropicMiles account number and Name to do so.
Where can I locate mileage information?
Your most recent mileage accumulation is listed at the top of the MY ACCOUNT page.
Can I receive credit for trips taken before I had a TropicMiles account?
No, you may only receive credit for trips taken after enrollment.

Please allow up to 10 business days for miles to be credited to your account.
How can I file a claim for missing miles?

What do I do if I have multiple accounts?
If you have duplicate accounts, you'll have to log in to the account you'd like to keep and request to merge with your other account(s).
Which Tropic Miles are excluded from earning Points?
Any special promotions do not provide miles. Government Taxes, fees and other charges associated with buying a ticket do not count towards earning Tropic Miles
How can I keep my miles from expiring?

Just fly with Tropic at least once every 12 months. We’ll automatically extend your mileage expiration date 12 months from the date of your most recent activity.

How far in advance should I book my reward ticket?

You can book awards up to one year in advance and up to 24 hours before departure, but it's best to make your award reservation as soon as possible to ensure the seat when you want it.

What should I do if I’m unable to use my reward ticket?
When you cancel your reservation, you can reinstate the miles to your account (a reinstatement fee may apply). Or you can have the ticket changed for travel on a different date and eligible flight as long as the ticket is still valid (a change fee may apply).
How do I get mileage credit?
Include your TropicMiles number when you book. It’s also helpful to keep your receipts or tickets until you see the credit on your account.
Can I earn mileage credit for some else’s activity?
No. Only the person who flies earns the miles. So, if you paid for someone’s ticket, the traveler would earn the miles.
Can I buy a ticket for someone else using my miles?
Yes, you can.
If I don’t have sufficient miles can I just pay for the difference?
No, you may only claim free flights if you have accumulated the necessary miles (miles vary based on destination).
Are taxes charged for award travel?
Yes, Taxes are charged for award travel on Tropic Air.
Can I transfer my miles to another Tropic Miles member?
No, your miles cannot be transferred to other Tropic Miles members
How do I use my miles for a reward ticket?
To use your miles for a reward ticket, log in to your Tropic Miles account, search for flights, and select the option to use miles for booking. Follow the prompts to confirm your booking, noting that taxes and processing fees may apply.
